Alicia A. Sneed grew up in Southwestern Virginia and attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. After graduating UVa in 1994, she attended the University of Kentucky College of Law. Alicia is licensed in both Kentucky and Virginia. After completing law school, she worked as a public defender in Lexington, Kentucky representing indigent criminal defendants. In 2004, Alicia began working for the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB), the educator licensing agency in Kentucky. While at the EPSB, Alicia learned the ends and outs of administrative law in the Kentucky as well as how to navigate Kentucky's public education system. Alicia recently finished her public service career at the Legislative Research Commission's Office of Education Accountability. Her knowledge of Kentucky's legal, administrative, and legislative systems can help you when you need an attorney or an advocate to be on your side.
During her public service, Alicia travelled throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky and has maintained her ties to Southwest Virginia. She is devoted to serving the people in both states: whether your need is in Wise, Virginia, Pikeville, Kentucky, or Richmond, Kentucky, she will travel to you.
